Have you ever fancied making a life-sized head and shoulders, portrait sculpture of a loved one, or perhaps a famous person?
Enjoy this unique day course at Kinsale Pottery Ballinacurra, where you will bring images to life.
On this one day course you will learn how to:
Construct the form of a head and shoulders using the coiling technique
Understand the proportions of faces
Sketch and make a maquette for your sculpture
Make the portrait recognisable
Your portrait will be biscuit-fired within 2 weeks of the class, with the option for high firing unglazed or burnished for smoke firing.
The day runs from 10am to 5pm and has a one hour break to drop into town and sample the delights of Kinsale's great cuisine, or bring your packed lunch to eat at the pottery.
