This information-packed one-day course is designed to help those who have ownership and or responsibility for operating a kiln, running a pottery studio, buying pottery materials and teaching. This course is a great way to expand your understanding of the studio process and along the way you will pick up loads of tips.

It will include:

• Stacking and firing kilns, including firing cycles, programming controllers and setting timers
• Making basic kiln repairs – changing elements
• Glazes and glaze making - students will make glazes
• Sensible projects which work well with large groups of beginners
• Other pottery equipment to acquire
• Studio maintenance – storage of materials, clay recycling
• Lots of Q&A
